Bilinguals Inc. is now offering scholarships to students in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology programs who sign on to work for the company after graduation.  The company is also offering scholarships for High School students interested in becoming a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) and current students in COTA programs.  We are looking for monolingual and bilingual candidates with a strong interest in working with children.

Bilinguals Inc will be co-sponsoring the three day - 7th Annual Conference on Best Practices in the Education of Children with Down Syndrome at the C.W Post Campus of Long Island University, from March 11, 2010 to March 13, 2010.

The conference is dedicated to preparing professionals with the skills necessary to support individuals with Down syndrome from infancy to adolescence in their communities. Evidence-based strategies to enhance communication development within schools, homes and recreational activities will be addressed.

The course instructors and guest speakers are licensed speech language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, board certified behavior analysts, special educators that have a wide experience in working with children and adults with special needs.

Bilinguals Inc will be an exhibitor at the 2010 Young Child Expo and Conference. The conference centers around early childhood development and caters towards educational and healthcare professionals. There are workshops and CEUs available, as well multiple exhibitors.

The conference takes place on April 9-10, 2010, at the Hilton NY Hotel. The hotel is located at 1335 Avenue of the Americas, between 53rd & 54th Streets, in Manhattan.

Workshop will cover calendars, session notes and progress reports in-depth. You will be shown how to write calendar activities based on outcomes and how to design short term goals for family training sessions and for regular sessions. We will also go over in detail, section by section, how to complete progress reports for regular sessions and for family training sessions. Finally, we will cover different clinical strategies and give a brief review of test tools for each discipline.
